Exercise: Shape/Plane/Volume

Scenario: Graphic designers use the Gestalt principles to create effective logos. First of all, read Chapter 3 in your text book "Shape/Plane/Volume." Make sure you understand p. 72, the Gestalt principles.You will be doing Computer Project: Project 1, page 91 in your textbook. This exercise is about using a computer to determine and modify shapes and studying the relationship between positive and negative space. You will make at least a dozen compositions/files. Print out the best four all placed on one 8.5 x 11" page and mount it on a piece of black mat board with a 2" border all the way around the drawing. Submit your computer file to the proper folder. This is due one week from today.
