GRDSN 115: Frames of Reference Scenario: You are an illustrator working for a graphic design studio. You are asked to design a cover for a magazine on art history. The dimensions of the cover are 9x12 inches. A bleed is allowed. Since you want to do something unique, you decide totry something different by putting together 5 or six postcards having to do with art history with some meaningful copy. Using the instructions found in Problem 10.2, p. 229, in your textbook, Frames of Reference, write captions for the postcards on a separate piece of paper, each being no more than five or six lines. Turn over the postcards, cut up the copy into separate statements and shuffle them. Randomly place the copy with an image. You will be forming a narrative or statement from the images and words. Draw over the top of the postcards to unify the idea that you come up with. Choose the most successful combination of "postcard with copy" and create a drawing. You may enlarge the type and use any appropriate font. This will be in black and white, so use appropriate tools on a piece of Arches paper. Your finished piece will be mounted on black mat board with a 2" margin and an overlap of tissue. Instructions: Select a score for each outcome below based on the following scale:
