Weekly Exercise: Typographic Construction and Destruction

Assignment: After reviewing the handout provided you will be able to produce and develop creative typography / logotypes for specific events or organizations. Each week you will need to choose a company or organization and develop a logo using type only. Each week you will need to bring your design(s) for discussion. These pieces should show the use of one or more of the following creative techniques and should supplement your portfolio.

Slide Out Cutting Bits Off 3D
Distortion Border(s) Overprinting
Reversing it Out Adding To It Messing It Up
Spacing it Out Contrast Condensing or Extending
Disappearance Ruling it Up Reversing

NOTE: DO NOT USE VALUE !!! These logos should be created using Black and White only. Save your files as outlines and as a native Adobe Illustrator Document. Fit logo within a 6"x6" area, print it out and hand in to your instructor each week.
