GRDSN 122: Design Tech III

Project: T-shirt

1. Follow oral instructions and those posted to the web in order to get the comprehensive
t-shirt design completed on time.

2. Do one of the following:

a. Develop bezier curve illustrations for the t-shirt design and save in the appropriate format by...

  • creating smooth curves using a minimum number of anchor points
  • using bezier curve handles
  • saving illustration files as an encapsulated postcript file (.eps)

or

b. Develop raster illustrations for the t-shirt design and save in the appropriate format by...

  • converting halftones to large dots appropriate to silk screen printing
  • using spot colors
  • saving illustration files as a DCS file

3. Use layers to isolate graphic elements in order to manipulate/change specific elements without effecting other elements of the t-shirt design.

4. Adjust the letter spacing and leading of type in the t-shirt design. The space between the
letters and words should be consistent. The letter and line spacing should enhance the theme of the design.

5. Use spot colors in the t-shirt design by choosing specific pantone colors.
