We will our discussion of light and the additive and subtractive primaries. We will create a CMYK and an RGB painting.

Week Three

Oct. 7

Discuss chapters 1-3 in Photoshop CS3 Color Correction
with: Taz Tally.

We will perform some in-class photo adjustments.

Halftones: screens of amplitude modulated dots and the random spattering of same-sized dots in stochastic, frequency modulated, dots. We'll make dots with the laser printer.


Week Four

Oct. 14

Practice with color correction skills; image adjustments, resolution, straightening, etc.

More practice. We will use targets to dial-in the neutral colors.

The Art Director has sent us photos (photos to correct, in the Pickup folder) from the Johnston Printing photo shoot. Your job, make them ready for printing.


Week Five

Turn in your corrected and adjusted Johnston photos by the end of class. Practice color correction skills from chapters 7-9.
