Objective: To create an Invitation that will mail to members of the design community that they will not throw away and will get them to attend the graduate show. It also needs to communicate that we are quality designers and they will benefit from going.
Strategy: Here I wanted to create a fun, eye catching, and vibrant design that possible made the viewer laugh or smile. The Man with the lampshade on his head would be on the cover, and would communicate some sort of party or event. also there are light rays coming from his head, representing his ideas and/or creativity being turned on (like a lamp). On the back would be the same light rays, with sky, and a landscape scene with mountains and a lake. This is representing the ideas and creativity being "turned on". There is also hand drawn abstract letters spelling out "SFCC Graphic Design Show". The copy would be on the mountains and the nearby hill.
(This invitation will be mailed in a light or baby blue 5" by 5" envelope)
