John Mill is a brilliant and enjoyable instructor in the Computer Science department; a fabulous programmer, but not a web designer.
His faculty pages on the SFCC site are minimally designed. He would like some help with them.
You will find the HTML for his pages in the linked images at right; also they are collected in the JohnMillparts folder in the GRDSN 215 Pickup folder on the AVAClasses server. Examine these pages and use them as the basic contents for a redesign.
Follow these guidelines:
- Examine the pages and their code. Write a short description of your strategy and make some thumbnails.
- Clean up the HTML. It should be POSH.
- Build a single external style sheet for the series of pages.
- You may add whatever images or textures you wish. Simple is good, however.
- Strive for ease of use. This styling exercise could be used by other instructors, from the Liberal Arts.
