Element
When used in graphic design we refer
to elements of design.
Elements of design include line, shape, color, typography, texture, etc.
Pantone
The pantone color matching
system works within existing color systems such as the
CMYK system. This creates colors that can be used for
printed material.
CMYK
C=Cyan M=Magenta Y=Yellow
K=Key
The precise mixing of
these colors make other colors
RGB
R=Red G=Green B=Blue
Hexadecimal
Anumerical
system used to specify colors on web pages; there is
just the # symbol, not a separate symbol for "hexadecimal".The
combiation of these colors in various ways reproduce
other colors.
Drop Shadow
A visual effect consisting
of consisting in drawing what looks like the shadow of
an object,giving the impression that the object is raised
above the objects behind it.

Logo
A shortened version of
logotype, popularly (and incorrectly) used to refer
to trademarks.
Logotype
A unique typeface used
to symbolize the name of a brand. Also known
as a wordmark.
Negative
Space/"Blocking
out "
The space around and
between the subjects of an image

Typeface
The design of a set of
characters, such as Helvetica or Times Roman;
frequently referred to as a "font." However,
the typeface is the unified
design of the individual characters and the font is the
variation of the
typeface, such as italic, bold, or no variation (regular
or none).
Typography
They are a technique
of setting written subject mater in type using a combination
of typefaces, size, line length, and spacing of type.

White space
Also referred to as negative
space, it is the blank or white area within the graphic that
proides closure and dimension.
