Objective
My
goal for the Quantum logo was to convey the company as a positive solution
to the concerns associated with the use of limited natural resources.
I wanted to show the company approaches each resource management situation
hands on, and with real concerns for the environment in a creative and
professional manner.
Strategy
When
considering a shape to bring the aspects of conservation, high efficiency,
and creativity I began with a sphere. The sphere gave the link to
the globe I was searching for, and the use of sharp curves completing the
circle gave the logo motion, a sense of recycling, and creativity. The
text style was chosen to emphasize the sophisticated shape of the Q and
to add professionalism. I chose the color, a mustard yellow with
hints of green and brown to bring the following to the logo. Yellow,
the first color we see, is the most reflective color. It gives the
impression of something new, unanticipated. The green combines this
out of the ordinary company to the environment and reliability. The
incorporation of the color brown, the neutral color of the stationary,
and the black lettering of the logo add sophistication and inspire confidence.
