Indd file:

has been stripped of unnecessary color swatches

has been stripped of unnecessary character or
paragraph styles

Links folder contains:

files in appropriate file formats

files with appropriate filename extensions

only necessary job files

Raster images are:

sampled to actual size

not scaled, rotated or transformed in page layout
file

sampled to correct resolution for 150 line halftone screen (225-300ppi)

created in appropriate color mode:

grayscale
rgb
cmyk
duotone

Vector images:

are accurate tracings or renderings

contain a minimum number of control points

have been combined as composite paths where ever possible

contain no nested groups or nested EPS files

Fonts folder:

contains all screen and printer fonts

PDF composite proof:

is correctly prepared for press

contains all images and fonts

PDF separations proof:

is correctly prepared for screen view

contains the correct color plates

verifies that all elements separate correctly

verifies all knockouts, overprints, and bleeds

contains all printers marks

 

Back Up:

at least one physical backup is presented

 

Note: The following is not part of the printing process but needs to be included on the job:

contains master pages, silhouetted images,
line art, text wraps, drop cap(s),
named layers, leaders / tabs,
hanging indent(s), paragraph rules

If any of the above does not lend itself to your design, an additional file needs to be included which demonstrates the skills.
