2. Research Principles of Design.
 

Research examples of design indusrty work to recognize how the Principles of Design are applied.

1. Use design periodicals in the SFCC library, including Communication Arts, Print, Graphis, and any design annuals.
You may also research full pge ads in consumer and/or trade magazines.

2. In your research, choose examples which, in your mind, clearly demonstrate a design principle.
Choose one different example for each of the following:

4. Bring your examples to the next class meeting for discussion.

 

3. Use the elements of design to communicate a message.
 

Use adjectives to help choose specific qualities of design elements

1. Write a list of adjective which accurately describe you: your attitude, personality, the kind of person you are.
This list should represent the things you wish to communicate visually in your personal information sheet.

2. Choose one of the adjectives from your list as your message for this exercise..

3. Consider what qualities design elements should have to clearly communicate your message.
